Before I go skiing or snowboarding, it’s hard for me to talk about the snow. After announcing a La Plagne trip for the following week, I did some research and found that it appears there has been a lot of snow in the French Alps. Next week, I will be crossing my fingers for blue skies and temperatures which keep snow on the ground but don’t cause hypothermia.
The trip is an unique Bloggers Holiday organised by SnowVole, and Snow Chateaux. SnowVole, an online ski and snowboarding group. We will go together, the G-Force. G will pay for the accommodation, but not for my flight from Glasgow to Geneva. As one of the British bloggers invited to the ski trip, I was very fortunate. The prices for G are still reasonable this early in season. We just need to pray for decent skiing conditions.
The conditions have been good since I learned to snowboard with Leslie McKenna (a trip 11 years ago). It’s all luck.
La Plagne in the French Alps, Trois Vallees region, is high-altitude with a large glacier. The chalet where I, G and 10 bloggers will be staying looks amazing.
While I am away, I will work, blog and snowboard so I will update this blog and on Facebook about conditions and my experience at La Plagne. It is my hope that I will make you envious…and hope I didn’t tempt bad luck.
