Seriously, IT IS A TEEPEE !!!! What do you see? A wide, open plain with buffaloes and Native American huts on the horizon. Okay, it might be just me ….. It’s pretty cool and I can see my kids enjoying a tent-shaped teepee. It brings out my inner child.
Mt. Antero gracefully looms in the distant.
A Little History
Tipi is more historically significant than the term “teepee”. Many people incorrectly believe that Tipi was a Native American tradition. In reality, only the native peoples of the prairies and plains used the Teepee. Native Americans who lived in nomadic communities used the Teepee for various reasons, including to stay warm during winter and cool during summer. They also kept dry when it rained. One of the main reasons that has been translated into the Wenzel Shenanigan Teapee is its ability to disassemble, move, and quickly reassemble in a different place.
The Wenzel Story
Wenzel is a company that really cares about the family. They also want to reconnect people with nature. On their website, I saw the phrase “From Chuck Wagons To Station Wagons”. The Station Wagon is no longer as popular. The idea that cowboys or travelers on the frontier may have worn Wenzel gear brings back ruggedness and simple living. Since 1887, they’ve done this. It’s been 141 years since they began designing and manufacturing outdoor products to bring families of the frontier, and those today, into nature.

Adventures in the mountains with Wenzel Shenanigan Tent
Our adventure led us to the Indian Group of Southern Sawatch Mountain Range, which includes three 14ers. We were on a mission to conquer the Mt. We did it: check out the photo. Antero, it turned out, was the peaceful leader of Uintah Band of Utes. Colorado’s fourteeners is not for those who are weak of heart. Gravel biking adds a new level of complexity. We found a wonderful camp in the forest just east of Mt. Antero.
The light was fading as we arrived at our destination. As a man, I don’t read directions very often. Hence, first I placed the pole in the tent. It didn’t work quite right!
It turns out that after reading the instructions on the bag you must first spread the tent out and then hammer the stakes in. Six metal stakes at the corners of the tent made it easy to insert the pole in the Wenzel Tent’s footing. Four of the six stakes have already been bent by our rocky, hard ground. I’m not a big fan of these stakes. It would be different if I were setting up in a field with soft, grassy soil. Maybe they should reconsider adding better stakes. Four guy wires help to stabilize the tent and make it tight. Yellow plastic stakes were of better quality and did a great job.
Technically, this is an eight-person tent. That would make for a very cozy and clean sleeping area. This could be possible with the children. We had plenty of room for four adults, and adding more would be too close.
It is shaped like an upside-down “T”, and it zips up and down on both sides. It was a good deal, although I had to fumble a little to open all three in the middle night. Roll back flaps are easy to store when the door is to remain open. Vents keep the air flowing during the day and there is a place for everyone to store their things.
Last Thoughts about the Wenzel Shenanigan Tent
Camping is one of my favorite activities. Wenzel is based in Boulder, Colorado. This has been dubbed the “mecca” of the outdoor industry. Here, many smaller businesses have set up or started to gain access to this beautiful playground. The ingenuity and collaboration of other people is what they feed on. This tent is perfect for car camping and families. This is a fun option that’s affordable. It is most notable that the Teepee can be set up within minutes. This is the Teepee, folks. It will take you to your favourite campground, forest or festival. You can even use it in your backyard.
