Zenbivy revolutionized the way people sleep outdoors with its revolutionary two-piece Zenbivy Bed. In 2018, the company has introduced the Zenbivy Light Bed. This new, patent-pending design has a zipper-less construction that is 20 percent lighter than its predecessor. Zenbivy, founded by outdoor industry veterans Michael Glavin and GSI Dualist (MSR Hubba Bubba, Sierra Designs Backcountry Bed, and MSR Hubba Bubba), will be launched on September 13, with Indiegogo as a crowd funding partner. Customers can take advantage of discounted pricing for the first production. This campaign runs until October 12,
Zenbivy Light Bed is 20% lighter than other backpacking quilts or mummy bag options on the market. The Zenbivy Light Bed is also ultralight, both as a quilt as well as an EN-rated backpacking bag. Weight savings are achieved in part by using lightweight clips to replace heavier zippers. These clips can convert a flat blanket into one that is wrapped snugly and without restriction.
Glavin said, “Our goal in designing the Zenbivy Light Bed is to allow you to sleep comfortably at home…while making it ultralight and suitable for backcountry use as both a quilt or a bag that meets EN standards.”
Light Bed was designed to eliminate zippers thanks to a revolutionary clip system and patent-pending design. Light Quilts can be arranged in a rectangular shape to allow for free foot movement. Plus, whether someone’s natural sleep position is on their stomach, back, or side, the Zenbivy Light Bed allows for natural and effortless movement, resulting in a better sleep experience–regardless of whether you’re deep in the backcountry, laying in a hammock or car camping.
